The Sculpt X series products are "soak-off" gels, meaning the material can be removed by soaking. The flexible composition of the series makes the products compatible with many types of natural nails.
The choice of base coat and primer allows you to address the needs of the natural nail.
Rubber Clear and Ultrabond primer - normal and moist nail.
Rubber PH and Bond X - normal and dry nail.
How well do you know your own products?
You can get to know the properties of products in many ways! One of the most effective is assessing the product's hardness. For example, you can apply the gel to the backing paper of a form, cure it, and compare the results. Which product is the most flexible, which is the hardest? Also, try different amounts of gel and observe how thickness affects curing. You might be surprised by the results!
A gel is always more flexible the thinner the layer of gel is. In a thicker layer, any product is also harder.
In coating natural nails, the product's balance plays a very important role! Always keep the nail edges thin and strengthen the nail with a thicker layer only in the central area of the natural nail.
Did you know that the polymerization properties of a soak-off product naturally limit the thickness of the soak-off layer slightly? What does this affect and what exactly does it mean?
Since the curing of soak-off gel is not as stable as hard gels (basic builder gels), they should not be applied in overly thick layers.
Therefore, do not do a builder-like finish with soak-off gel. Keep the layers thin!
Do not use soak-off gel instead of builder gel!
Do not coat an excessively long nail with soak-off gel (long nail = more product).
Do not combine soak-off material with overly hard material (e.g., SculptX/Rubber + A&Gile acrylic gel).
Under-cured soak-off product causes unnecessary exposure and sensitization to the active acrylate product, for both the client and the technician. Nails will not last, they will break and lift!
NATURAL NAIL STRENGTHENING with Sculpt X gel
Strengthening provides more support to the natural nail compared to just gel polish. In strengthening, a lightly sculpted apex is built, which helps keep the nail structure balanced. Correct apex placement and material control are the foundation of a durable result.
Strengthening can be used to modify the appearance of the nail, cover possible shape deviations, and emphasize natural beauty without major structural changes. Although strengthening does not actually allow for nail lengthening, some products can be used for minor length corrections. The content of the service depends on both the technician's skills and the products used.
A strengthened nail can be maintained and does not need to be completely removed at each visit.
Who is strengthening suitable for and who is it not?
Strengthening is an ideal solution when:
• Nails are strong and in good condition
• The client is committed to careful home care
• Maintenance is performed regularly every 3–4 weeks
• Nails are long and flexible
• Nails are dry or the C-curve is curling
• The nail needs to be smoothed or its appearance tidied up
• Nails are thin and flexible
• Nails are under light stress (e.g., work or hobby)
• The client has sensitive skin
Strengthening is not the best option if:
• Home care is uncertain or inadequate
• Nails are exposed to heavy mechanical stress
• Nails break constantly
* Products have been reformulated without TPO.
